Our Policy for Protecting Your Online Privacy

At we hate spam. We despise it when we provide our email address to a site for signing up to something only to be bombarded by emails from a different entity entirely. This practice of selling on email addresses or using the same email address lists for different ventures should be penalised to the highest extent. Unfortunately, that doesn’t happen making us all wary of signing up to something. So with that in mind, here is a full disclosure of what our site does and what we do with any information you provide us.

Google and us.
This website uses Google Analytics to help Analyse how users use the site. It is important to us in determining which pages do well and are landed on regularly and which pages we should throw into the man cave dustbin of history. It helps us to keep the site interesting. It also helps us to try and keep increasing traffic to the site, without which there would be no point being here sharing the wisdom of man. Google Analytics uses “cookies,” which are text files placed on your computer to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behaviour information in an anonymous form. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including IP address) is transmitted to Google. This information is then used to evaluate visitors’ use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity for Man Cave Hideout.

We will never (and will not allow any third party to) use the statistical analytics tool to track or to collect any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of visitors to our site. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Neither we nor Google will link, or seek to link, an IP address with the identity of a computer user. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any Personally Identifiable Information from any source.

You may choose to accept or decline cookies. Most Web browsers automatically default to accept them, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies.

User’s Personal Information.
Visitors to our website are able to register to receive newsletters and latest updates. When you register, you will provide personal information such as name and email. We will not disclose personally identifiable information we collect from you to third parties without your permission. The information we collect will only be used by us to send you updates and newsletters to which you will be able to unsubscribe at any time. Should you unsubscribe, your details will be deleted permanently until such time that you decide to subscribe by resubmitting your details. Whilst your personal information remains in our database, under no circumstances will it be disclosed to anyone outside of this office and maximum security has been applied by ourselves and our web host to ensure those nasty hackers can’t get at it either. At no point will we ever ask you for banking details or any other sensitive information.

3rd Party Policies
This bit is out of our control. Related services and offerings linked to or from this website have their own privacy statements that can be viewed by clicking on the corresponding links within each respective website. If these sites do not have a privacy policy visible on their site then we will not link to them. But since we do not have control over the policies or practices of participating merchants and other third parties, we are not responsible for the privacy practices or contents of those sites. We recommend you review their policies before you provide any personal information or complete any transaction with them.
